Collages
Juan Pablo Chipe is a collage aficionado and began practicing this technique at a very young age. Now at the professional level, he has led collage workshops and exhibited in Mexico, Italy, Spain, France and Germany. In Spain he has done collage work for various fashion brands such as Üterque, Roberto Verino, Prada Eyewear, Clarins, American Appareal, Adidas, and Guess as well as fashion magazines including Fashion & Arts Magazine, ¡HOLA! Fashion, ¡HOLA! Cocina, Glamour, Avenue Illustrated, Harper’s Bazaar, NEO2, ZERO, Esquire and Woman Madame Figaro.
Juan Pablo Chipe’s collage work deals with the revaluation of everyday culture trash, and is influenced by pop art, junk art, advertising, fashion and graphic design. Between 2016 and 2017, Chipe was an instructor at the Marta de la Rocha School of Painting at the IADE school of design in Madrid, Spain, where he taught collage. He has led collage workshops for all ages since 2009. “Collage Invasion” is part of the program of the professional illustration master of IADE School of Design (Artistic Teaching Institution / University of Nebrija) 2019 in Madrid Spain. Through his Collage Invasion project, he has taught workshops all over Spain (Malaga, Barcelona, Ahigal, Salamanca, and Valladolid), in Mexico (Nogales and Agua Prieta in Sonora, and Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua), and in the US (Tucson and Douglas, Arizona; Las Cruces, New Mexico; El Paso, Texas; Miami, Lake Worth, Jupiter, Wellington and North Palm Beach, Florida).
